[68Ga]Ga DOTA-5G is a **peptide-based radiopharmaceutical** developed for **PET imaging** of cancers expressing the epithelial integrin αvβ6, which is overexpressed in numerous malignancies such as pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma, metastatic breast lobular carcinoma, and non-small cell lung cancer. The molecule comprises a DOTA-5G peptide chelated with the positron-emitting radionuclide gallium-68. It selectively targets the integrin αvβ6, enabling sensitive and specific imaging of metastatic lesions. This agent is being investigated as part of a theranostic approach alongside [177Lu]Lu DOTA-ABM-5G, with the imaging component ([68Ga]Ga DOTA-5G) used to guide patient selection and monitor response to radionuclide therapy. Initial development was at University of California, Davis, and first-in-human trials are ongoing for multiple metastatic and advanced cancers[1][2][3][5][6].
